Clubs/Programs

Broad Meadows offers a variety of activities before and after school. Students are encouraged to participate in these programs so that they have a chance to meet new friends, experience new initiatives, exhibit their talents, and enjoy the complete middle school experience.

Broad Meadows Middle School is proud of the extended day programs we are able to provide to our students. We strongly encourage each student to find something of interest and join!  Below we will continually update what programs are currently running and the sign-ups that are happening.

Before School Homework Center:

 Is open Monday -Friday in the Media Center from 7:30 a.m. to 8:15 a.m. Students report to the main office to get a pass.

After School Homework Center:

Is open Monday -Thursday in the Media Center from 2:30 p.m. to 3:15 p.m.

BOKS:

Is held from 7-7:45am on Monday and Wednesday's from October -December in the gym. Students enjoy activities, games and quick nutritional lessons. A completed Registration Form is necessary to begin the program.

Cross-Country:

Practices held Monday's, Full Day Tuesday's, and Wednesday's from 2:30pm-3:30pm. Meets are held each Thursday in October at Pageant Field.

Drama Club:

Auditions are held at the end of October. Practices will be on Monday's and Thursday's from 2:30pm-4pm in the auditorium. The show will be presented at the end of February.

Flag Football:

Students have 1 -2 games scheduled each week in the field behind the school and end at 4:15pm. Schedules have been provided to participating students. Students can see Mr. Carnes in Room 112 with any questions.

Operation Day's Work:

This is a Global Community Service group that will meet with Mr. Gilbert in Room 109 after school on Friday's from 2:30pm-4pm.

Stickball:

Schedules have been distributed to participating students. Season is in October and games are from 2:30pm-about 4pm.

Fantasy Football:

This group will meet on Tuesday afternoons and Thursday mornings in Room 203 with Mr. Clifford.

Steam Programming and Lego Robotics:

This groups will meet on Monday and/or Wednesday with Mrs. Baird in the Computer Lab from 2:30pm- 4pm.

Tennis Team:

Practices are every Friday in October from 2:45pm-4pm on the school tennis courts. The City Championship is on Saturday, October 28 @ QHS @9am.

Volleyball:

October through January. Practices are after school and competitions are scheduled at various middle schools. City Championship is Saturday, January 6 @ QHS at 8:30am.
